Frances Hamerstrom, fomer debutante and fashion Model, has written over 100 scientific papers, articles, and reviews as well as ten books - two are for children, and one is Wild Food Cookbook. She has lectured in over a dozen countries and appears on the NBC television's "Late Night with David Letterman."

With the growing interest in women moving into men's sports and professions, this book should draw readers, not only from those who like good hunting yarns, but also from those who chuckle at - or fume at - some of the lively barriers she had to overcome. She was not always welcome.

Dr. Hamerstrom has hunted every season since 1920, and is one of five women who made it as a field biologist before Women's Lib.
