Although this book was originally published in 1916 it still stands as the classic regimental history of the First Minnesota in the Civil War. It has long been recognized as a major Civil War unit history by both collectors and historians from both Minnesota and the rest of the country. It was reprinted in 1987 in a limited quantity but that quickly sold out.
